It is with great pleasure and honor that I welcome you to The 8th International Conference on Video and Image Processing (ICVIP 2024). We are gathered here in the vibrant and historic city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from December 13 to 15, 2024, a city known for its rich cultural tapestry and dynamic innovation landscape.

•Prof. David Yau from the Singapore University of Technology and Design, whose insights into smart technologies promise to inspire and challenge our perspectives.
